Is Permanent Jewelry Safe?

We are constantly hearing this burning question: Is Permanent Jewelry Safe? In this post you will find the answer to this question!

The short answer: yes, absolutely!

As professionals, here at Summie jewelry (and yes, always choose a pro for this!), we use special equipment to quickly and safely weld the jewelry onto you.

We always add a small piece of leather between your skin and the chain we are welding. This way, you are 100% safe from the tiny spark or any remote possibility of getting hurt.

It’s a quick zap, and you're all set.

We also always use the latest top of the line micro welder, so the equipment we use is very reliable.

The process is pain-free, and the sparks are just part of the cool experience.

When it come to allergies

If you've got sensitive skin, you might wonder about reactions. Most permanent jewelry is made of hypoallergenic materials like gold or sterling silver.

We use 14k Gold Filled and .925 Sterling Silver. Although extremely rare, any jewelry allergic reactions are typically caused by low quality metals or if the top layer of metal is really thin and it gets rubbed off by constant contact. However, this is not the case with any of the metals we use.

Living with Your Permanent Jewelry

Now, living with your permanent jewelry is a breeze. It's like your favorite jeans – there when you need it and blending seamlessly with your style. Shower with it, sleep with it, hit the beach or pool and yes, even hit the gym with it. But hey, treat it with a little love.

Although it is permanent it is NOT indestructible. Avoid tugging or catching it on things, if possible. Avoid adding body lotion or cream right on top of it. Try moving your jewelry p or down when rubbing lotion on.

keeping it sparkling

Clean your piece at least once a month. This will assure your permanent jewelry stays sparkly and looking brand new.

Cleaning is super easy, just use a little cloth or tooth brush with a touch of warm water and Dawn dish soap. This is plenty to remove oils and residues.

Permanent jewelry is as safe as it is stylish. It's a beautiful commitment to yourself, a memory, or someone special. And the best part? It's as unique as you are.

If you're ready to make a statement that lasts, why not give it a try? Come see us and get yours!
